It was during the leadership of Mechanical and Industrial Engineer Helmut Surges, that MANAGEMENT ENGINEERS became one of the most awarded business management consultancy companies in Europe, and himself, one of the most known celebrities in the European consulting market. For 27 years, Surges served as a strategy and operations consultant, and acquired great confidence and reputation with the “C-Level” of the most important players in the German auto industry.

Surges acted as a Project Manager or Responsible Partner in more than 100 projects with a geographic focus in Germany and other countries in Europe, but also in Brazil, China, USA and Russia and served Clients who do not need presentations, such as: Daimler Benz, VW, Audi , PORSCHE, SEAT, SKODA, BMW, GM, FORD, in addition to a much larger number of suppliers in the same industry, to name a few: WEBASTO, VDO, MAGNA and MAHLE, and was responsible for a team of 150 consultants on 4 continents.

He also worked in the Industrial Machinery and Equipment Construction sector in Germany, having as references: ACCO / FENDT, CLAAS, Thyssen-Krupp, Mannesmann, MAN, SALZGITTER, in addition to leading projects in the process industry (chemistry, steel), and in the service sector (TÜV, DEKRA). Before starting his work as a Consultant, Surges had dedicated himself for 9 years to the Research and Development and Production areas of Machine Builder Klöckner Humboldt Deutz AG.

For 6 years, Surges has also been an investor in several economic sectors in Europe, (from aviation company to digital start-up).

Since 2020 from his office in Cologne he is part of the team of Senior Advisors at PRIMORIUM Management Consultants.
