Dr. Danielle Macellaro is a doctor graduated from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in 1997. She did a medical residency and a postgraduate degree in Endocrinology and Metabology from the same University. Throughout her training, she did internships at some of the largest North American hospitals such as Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Co-author of numerous scientific publications in the field of Endocrinology, Dr. Danielle Macellaro regularly participates in national and international medical congresses.

She was a volunteer doctor at the Cruz de Malta Association between the years 2002 and 2005. In 2012 she participated in a pioneering project to introduce new technology in Brazil: together with the Interventional Radiology team at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein (HIAE), the initiative brought from Italy an innovative technique for ablation of thyroid nodules with laser, which earned the group the Eric Roger Wroclawski Prize, as the best scientific work in 2018.

Between 2008 and 2015, Dr. Danielle Macellaro coordinated a project for the Institutional Support Development Program of the Unified Health System (PROADI-SUS) by Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in partnership with UNIFESP, which culminated in the creation of the “Thyroid Disease Center”, for the care of patients with nodule and thyroid cancer. The management model implemented at the Center demonstrated that a service with a highly specialized team is faster and more resolvable for the patient, in addition to representing a lower cost, reaching concomitant goals for improving the patient's quality of Life, and the financial situation of the system itself.

Currently, her medical professional life is not limited to attending her private practice for the private network: Dr. Danielle Macellaro is also a collaborating physician at the UNIFESP Thyroid Clinic.

As Senior Partner at PRIMORIUM, she contributes with her practical philosophy of care in the Health sector, according to which, the best care, most specialized and offering the best resolution for the patient, is also the most economically viable.
